The Vinton Police Department Records Division facilitates the department's records management system, including the processing, storage, retrieval, and protection of all police records. These records include criminal offense and traffic accident reports. The records clerk also serves as the crime analysis administrator, notary of the public, and provides information to the public in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act.

If you wish to obtain a copy of a criminal offense report, we ask that you call the Records Division to make this request and we will be glad to provide you with the required information within 48 hours. Traffic accident reports can be obtained in the same manner; however, you may use the buy crash website at the link below to obtain those reports if you prefer.

Records Division office hours are Monday - Friday from 08:00 a.m. - 04:30 p.m. and can be reached via telephone at (540) 283-7029
